Thank you. Two words that have come to mean a lot in this time of heightened economic stress. As business owners of a firm that works with uniquely successful clients, we have had a front-row seat for the impact of the recent economic shutdown initiated in response to the coronavirus. We feel lucky to be able to help our clients weather this storm. In business, as in life, there are times when it pays to continue to march ahead regardless of the headwinds. So, I’m happy to announce that SWS Partners has been able to add to our arsenal of expertise by bringing on new talent.
This month you will see a new name appear on our market-based thought pieces, Kurt Grove. Kurt joins us as a portfolio manager having had a successful run as an analyst on the internal active long-only US equity portfolios at Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS). His institutional experience will enhance our research and bolster our risk management. We are excited to have Kurt join us as we continue to grow and enhance our firm.

For those of you who follow our blogs, you have become accustomed to reading our economic analysis and thought pieces on various market-related subjects. Since our founding, we have leveraged the uniqueness of our business model to provide our clients with thoughtful and diversified investment opportunities in both the public and private markets. This is possible because we are built upon a business model that leverages the strategic use of technology and data gathering, which provides us with the ability to build and manage our investment portfolios in-house.
As we pointed out in our most recent blog, this most recent crisis allowed us to stress test our investment thesis in real-time and in turn communicate in detail the impact, and any strategic changes, to our clients’ portfolios.
While we look forward to continuing to be a source of information and strategic vision for you, we wanted to take a moment to say thank you. Thank you for your support, your trust, and your friendship. Like so many crises before, this one will pass. Some things will change, and some will stay the same, but we will move on stronger for having been through it.
As always, we are here for you, so don’t hesitate to call if you have questions or concerns about the markets or your portfolio.
